The Big Fella is getting a lot of playing time with Adrian off to the World Baseball Classic. However, with Mexico’s elimination, look for his playing time to decrease as the Pads try to get Adrian back in the groove. If he continues to develop, the Padres face an interesting dilemma. Trade him, trade Gonzalez, or keep both and move Blanks to the outfield.
My ‘By The Letter’ collection is almost complete. I am this close to spelling out ‘PADRES’. I’ve got P (Khalil Greene), A (Adrian Gonzalez), R (Kevin Kouzmanoff), E (Kevin Cameron), and S (Chris Young). All I need is a Justin Hampson letter ‘D’. Easier said than done. The past couple of weeks, I’ve seen almost the entire alphabet of Justin Hampson ‘By The Letter ‘cards’ except for the letter ‘D’.
God knows Ron Rivera’s defense could use his return. As of right now, he’s on schedule for a training camp return. Oh and get excited because his website is almost upon us.
