Alright folks, it’s been a while since my mailbox has provided me with some surprises.  I really haven’t been scouring Ebay lately, so my mailbox hasn’t been bursting with packages.  Here’s what I received the past week:

• TTM Success – A Ryan Mount 2005 Bowman Heritage card.  I sent this one out on August 7th.  Mount, a former 2005 2nd round draft pick, was having a pretty decent year for the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes.  He batted .290 with 16 HR’s and 10 SB’s for the Angels Class A affiliate.  The 2005 Bowman Heritage set is a really terrific set for TTM autograph collectors.  The card design really complements the player autograph.
• TTM Success – An Owen Schmitt 2008 Upper Deck Draft card.  This card was also sent on August 7th.  Schmitt, a former West Virginia Mountaineer, added a ‘Go W!’ inscription to his autograph.  That was a nice touch, especially considering he is shown in his college uniform.
• Ebay win – My first Ebay purchase in a few weeks.  A 2007 Bowman Chrome Autographed card featuring Padres red-hot prospect Kellen Kulbacki.  Hopefully, he will be able to advance quickly through the Padres’ minor league system and make it to Petco sooner rather than later.  A graduate of James Madison University, Kulbacki hit .332 with 20 HR’s and a .428 OBP for the Class A Lake Elsinore Storm.  However, he will miss the rest of this season after injuring his non-throwing shoulder.
