Here is one of my favorite Ladainian Tomlinson cards. It’s just a plain old base card from 2005 Donruss Zenith. But what a design.
The card is one of the few of the 21st century to feature dufex. What’s dufex? It’s a special type of printing that gives cards a cool, “etched foil” look. It was used quite a bit in the 90′s, especially by the Pinnacle Company. Anyone remember Museum Collection?
I always thought that Donruss Zenith was a very underrated set. They did a great job utilizing dufex with this design. Not too gaudy, but boy does the dufex make #21 pop out.
