In honor of Philip Rivers’ outstanding game last night, I decided to highlight one of his rookie cards. In this case, his 2004 Bowman Autographed card. A great rookie autograph, especially since the autograph is on the card itself and not on a sticker. With the progress he has made this season, the current Beckett value of this card currently stands at $100. The most recent Ebay sale of this card occurred on Sept. 17th for a total of $50.
As a Charger fan, I can’t say enough about his performance on Monday night. Despite throwing a pick on his first pass, he settled down and outperformed future Hall of Famer Brett Favre. His audible and subsequent touchdown pass to Chris Chambers was a thing of beauty. With the defense playing poorly this season and Ladainian Tomlinson off to a slow start, he carried the team on his back during the first three games. Rivers currently leads the NFL so far in touchdowns and QB rating.
