Adrian at the House That Ruth Built

Well, I stayed up to witness the Lone Padre in this year’s Midseason Classic. In the 8th inning, Adrian Gonzalez finally entered the game and drove home Miguel Tejada with a sac fly to let the Senior Circuit take the lead 3-2. The game should have ended with that score. Unfortunately Billy Wagner gave up the game tying hit to Evan Longoria. 2007 UD #497 Adrian Gonzalez

In extra innings Adrian got a single in the top of the 11th. Unfortunately, in the top of the 12th with the bases juiced, he struck out against George Sherrill. Gonzalez flied out in his final trip to the plate.

Thanks to the late start time on the East Coast I was only able to witness Adrian’s first at bat. I figured that the game was almost over by then anyway. Hopefully he’ll have more All-Star games in his future.
